GNR seizes 16 heavy vehicles for tampering with emission systems
The GNR seized 16 heavy goods vehicles due to alterations in electronic systems that prevent AdBlue injection, in an operation across three districts.
The Guarda Nacional Republicana (GNR) seized 16 heavy goods vehicles in Leiria, Coimbra, and Castelo Branco. The seizure occurred due to modifications in the electronic systems of the vehicles, aimed at inhibiting the injection of AdBlue, an additive intended to reduce pollutant emissions.
This operation was carried out following an investigation that lasted approximately one year and three months, culminating in the detention of the vehicles involved.
